Privacy Policy
EZ PZ Tech runs this website. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect and what we do with it. The short version: as little as possible, kept as briefly as possible, shared with nobody.
What we collect
Analytics. We use self-hosted analytics software (Matomo) that runs on our own server — no third-party analytics company is involved. When you visit, it records:
- Pages you viewed and actions you took (which links you clicked, for example)
- Approximate date and time of your visit, and how many times you’ve visited before
- General information about your device and browser (screen size, browser type)
- Your approximate country
- Which website or search engine brought you here, if any
- Your IP address, with the last portion removed so it can’t be traced back to you
- A random pseudonym ID, used to tell repeat visitors apart — it’s not linked to your name, email, or anything else identifying
We use this only to understand how many people visit the site, where they come from, and what devices they use. That’s it — we’re not profiling individuals, selling data, or running ads.
Contact form. If you choose to contact us through the form, you can provide your name, phone number, and a written message. We use it only to get back to you. Your information is not sold or shared with third parties unless we’re legally compelled to (for example, by a court order).
What we don’t collect
- No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, no data brokers
- No third-party cookies or pixels — we don’t use Google Analytics, Meta, or any ad platform
- Nothing from anyone who asks not to be tracked: if your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is on, our analytics excludes you entirely
Cookies
Our analytics uses a small number of first-party cookies to distinguish repeat visitors. These cookies are set by our site only, contain nothing identifying, and expire on their own within about 6 months.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is automatically deleted after 6 months. Contact form submissions are not stored in a database on our end — we receive them by email, and we generally don’t keep them longer than needed to reply.
Questions
If you have any questions about this, contact us — we’d rather explain it than have you wonder.
